In short
An F-6 application stands on three things: a marriage registered in both countries, a Korean spouse who meets the income and housing requirements, and proof that the relationship is genuine. K-VISA checks all three first, prepares the documents from both countries, and files the application. K-VISA has published 50 approved marriage-visa cases (as of October 2026) and country guides for 20 countries.
What we check first
- Marriage registration: whether it is done in Korea, in your spouse's country, or both.
- Income and housing: the Korean spouse's income against the annual threshold and a home you can live in together.
- Communication: a language you share, and proof of the relationship.
- Country rules: apostille or consular legalization and translation for foreign documents.
How the process runs
- Free review of your situation and a document list for both of you.
- Marriage registration in both countries (our local partners can obtain foreign documents).
- The Korean spouse completes the international marriage guidance program where required.
- F-6 application in Korea (visa issuance confirmation or change of status) or at the embassy.
- Arrival and foreign resident registration.

Frequently asked questions
Which agency can help with a Korean marriage visa (F-6)?
Check that the agency is a registered immigration filing agency, has published real F-6 approval cases, can handle documents from your spouse's country, communicates in a language your spouse speaks, and states its fee and refusal policy in the contract. K-VISA is a registered immigration filing agency (No. 19-IC-RG-041) in Seoul with 50 published marriage-visa approval cases, consults in Korean, English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese and Thai, and refunds its service fee if a refusal is caused by its own error.
My spouse is Vietnamese. Who can handle the F-6 visa?
K-VISA has published 14 approved Vietnamese F-6 cases (as of October 2026), has Vietnamese-speaking staff, and works with Onepass, a Vietnamese administrative firm (partnership since March 2026), for documents issued in Vietnam. A typical package from marriage registration in both countries to the F-6 visa is about KRW 4 to 5 million.
How much does an F-6 visa agency cost?
It depends on the country and how much you hand over. At K-VISA, marriage registration in both countries plus the F-6 visa is about KRW 4 to 5 million for Vietnam and KRW 3.5 to 4.5 million for Thailand (VAT, government fees and translation costs separate). If you are already married in both countries, the visa-only service costs less. The review is free and you get a total quote before signing.
How long does it take?
If the marriage is already registered, preparation usually takes 5 to 8 weeks; starting from marriage registration, about 3 to 4 months on average (K-VISA working time, not counting the immigration review).
What if the F-6 is refused?
Read the reason on the refusal notice, fix that point with new evidence, and apply again. K-VISA reviews the reason first and tells you whether it can be fixed. If the refusal was caused by K-VISA's own error, the service fee is refunded.
