In short
An E-7 application stands on three things: a job code that the E-7 category allows, a company that meets the employer requirements, and a candidate whose degree, experience and salary meet the 2026 thresholds. K-VISA checks all three first, then prepares and files the application with the immigration office.
What we check first
- Job code: whether the actual duties match an occupation allowed under E-7.
- Company: business registration, the size of the Korean workforce and other employer requirements.
- Candidate: degree and work experience related to the job.
- Salary: the 2026 wage threshold for the E-7 sub-category (see the questions below).
How the application runs
- Free review of the job, the company and the candidate.
- Document list and schedule. Foreign documents may need apostille and translation.
- Filing: a visa issuance confirmation for hires abroad, or a change of status for people already in Korea.
- Visa issuance at the embassy (hires abroad) and foreign resident registration after arrival.
Korean version with the full requirements: 취업비자(E-7) 대행 안내. Skilled workers moving from E-9 under the points system: E-7-4.
Frequently asked questions
Who can K-VISA help with an E-7 visa?
Korean companies hiring foreign professionals, and foreign graduates or workers already in Korea who received a job offer. K-VISA checks the job code, the company and the candidate before anything is filed.
What is the 2026 wage requirement?
Under the Ministry of Justice notice for 2026, the annual wage threshold is KRW 31.12 million for E-7-1, KRW 25.89 million for E-7-2 and E-7-3, and KRW 26.00 million for E-7-4. Check the latest Hi Korea notice at the time of application.
The candidate is abroad. What is the process?
The company applies for a visa issuance confirmation in Korea, then the candidate applies for the visa at the Korean embassy or consulate. After arrival, the employee registers as a foreign resident.
The candidate is already in Korea on another visa. Can they switch to E-7?
In many cases, yes, through a change of status, for example from D-10 job seeking or D-2 student status. Whether a switch is possible depends on the current status and the job.
How much does it cost?
K-VISA's E-7 service starts from KRW 1,000,000 for people already in Korea and KRW 1,200,000 for hires abroad (VAT and government fees separate). The eligibility review is free.
